Mobility And Logistics

India's logistics sector is witnessing substantial growth, with the country ranking 38th out of 139 nations in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index Report 2023. A total of 154 projects worth USD 7 billion have been identified to enhance the sector. The Bharatmala Pariyojana, a flagship initiative to improve connectivity and reduce logistics costs, has made significant progress, with projects covering 26,425 km awarded and 18,714 km already constructed, reinforcing India's commitment to strengthening its infrastructure and boosting economic growth.

The Inland Waterways Development Council (IWDC) has committed USD 5.3 billion to foster river cruise tourism, with USD 4.1 billion earmarked for cruise vessels and USD 1.2 Billion for terminal infrastructure by 2047.
